You can’t (easily) produce a huge press story that would drive thousands of people to search for (and then buy) your shirt on Amazon. But you can improve the listing data (title, keywords, phrases) for your shirt, and that could expose your design to a slightly bigger audience, and then move that design from selling just one a week to selling twice a week. I’ve started 9 startups in the last 3 years. 1 has closed shop (ouch!), 8 are doing anywhere from good to great. The biggest mistake people make is they think they need some great idea at the outset, and that stops them from starting.
