The San Antonio Spurs are a professional basketball team based in San Antonio, Texas. They play in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and are one of the most successful teams in the league. The Spurs won their first NBA championship in 1999, and followed it up with another title in 2003. In 2007, the Spurs won their third championship, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals. The 2007 NBA Finals was a seven-game series between the Spurs and the Cavaliers. The Spurs were led by future Hall of Famers Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili. The trio was nicknamed the “Big Three” and they helped lead the Spurs to victory in the series. The Spurs won the series in a 4-0 sweep, with Duncan being named the Finals MVP.
